Day 1: Arrival at Bhopal
Arrive at Bhopal Railway Station/Airport .Our representative shall assist you in getting transferred to the hotel. Check-in into the hotel.Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh is a city which has a rich cultural heritage and history. The city is actually a great amalgam of the old and the new. Thus, one can have a glimpse of the Mughal architecture on the one hand and upcoming shopping malls on the other.After having rest at the hotel, leave for a day tour of Bhopal, the city of hills and lakes. Visit Taj-ul-Masjid (which has the distinction of being the largest mosque in India) as also Moti Masjid. You would also visit “Museum of Man” an initiative by the Madhya Pradesh Government where you can catch a glimpse of tribal life of Madhya Pradesh.Other must visit places include Bharat Bhawan, which is world-renowned seat of performing arts.No visit to Bhopal is complete without an excursion to its lakes-Bada Talaab or the upper lake and the Chota Talab or the lower lake.Later in the evening return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Bhopal to Sanchi
After a healthy breakfast leave for Sanchi, a UNESCO world heritage site.On the way to Sanchi, we will notice a signboard which marks the place where the Tropic of Cancer passes through. Sanchi is approximately 48 km north east of Bhopal.
Sanchi is unique for it has the most perfect and well-preserved Buddhist stupas anywhere in India. Dotted with stupas, monasteries, permeated with peace and tranquillity, Sanchi is truly one of the most popular Buddhist pilgrimage sites in India.The beautiful gates of the stupas depict scenes from the life of Buddha.In the evening reach back Bhopal. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 3: Bhopal - Bhimbetka - Bhojpur
After breakfast leave for another UNESCO’s World Heritage site, Bhimbetka.
Bhimbetka is situated south of Bhopal. Located inside the Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary, Bhimbetka is the largest repository of prehistoric art in India. In all there are about 642 rock shelters in the area. The Bhimbetka rock shelters stand a witness to the creative expression of the Stone Age man.On the way back to Bhopal, stop over to visit the Bhojpur temple which is on the bank of river Betwa. Bhojpur is famous for remains of magnificent Shiva Temple which houses the magnificent Shivlinga which is 22 feet in height.Later reach back Bhopal in the evening. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 4: Leave for your onward journey
After breakfast checkout from the hotel. Reach Bhopal railway station/airport on time for your onward journey.
